Hey Stacie,

Any thoughts on the remake coming out later this month?

Wow! This is a reminder of just how fast the original's plot took off- the fact that the army guys in HAZMAT 9or whatever) suits are already there, just 23 minutes into the film. I bet we don't see them for at least 45 in the new one. (BTW, I do hope the new version is good- this is one of the scariest concepts around.)

Verification word-flogicho. Perhaps a tempo indication in music? Play the next section flogicho- at whipping tempo!

I can't even tell you how much I hate the idea of a remake of this. UGH!

I do like the original a lot, but the idea of a remake doesn't bother me. I will say, that I don't dig the way the Crazies themselves look- at least what's indicated in the trailer...that they look all gross like zombies. One of the greatest aspects of the original is that you can't tell who's a Crazy by looking. Everyone seems normal, but then...you know, your dad is raping you.

One thing I'm looking forward to in the remake, though, is less yelling. The original is so loud! :D

I had to laugh about the "loudness" comment. I like "Alice, Sweet Alice" a whole heck of a lot, but there is WAY too much screaming in that one. I think it's just a hallmark of late '70s/early '80s movies, to be honest.

You're right, that is a loudie. I think the loudest on record, though, is Alucarda. I love it, but HOLY CRAP. It sure do get awful screamy.
